I have heard that you need to do special events to get some items and some legendaries in Pokemon. What is a special event?
I dont think its an event
Well in Pokemon Emerald at a point team Magma and Team Aqua awaken Kyogre and Groundon and you need to find their bases.
So is that an event
Can anyone help me
On pokemon Emerald im stuck i cant move boulders in team aquas underwater base to get to kyogre. I do have strehnth but i keep lockin myself out

A "special event" is one of those things they host at Toys R Us stores and the like, where you go pick up an item from Nintendo that will unlock a Pokemon for you.
An example is the recent "Rise of Darkrai" event that coincided with the movie — if you went to Toys R Us, you could have them download a Darkrai into your cartridge, and it was even carrying an Enigma Berry.
