  • Selling Entertainment Event Tickets in Illinois Without a License?

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010 and filed under event tickets | 2 Comments »

According to Illinois law concerning the resale of tickets, tickets cannot be sold for more than face value (except by a ticket broker licensed by the state of Illinois). But my question now is that am I able to sell the tickets for the face value that I purchased them or do I have to sell them for a lower face value price?

    I’m in Illinois as well.

If you bought them from a ticket broker and I’m sure they were not bought for face value, I believe if you have a receipt for a detailed transaction for the tickets, this may work in your favor.

In turn, if you sold them for what you actually paid for them, with the proper receipt for verification, I think you would be fine.

You can get arrested i think for selling tickets without an approved and not expired license
