I would like to know how to get started in event planning or meeting/conference planning. It seems like they all require previous experience, but how do I get that experience? ((Sigh))

I have recently seen jobs like that advertised on the internet, you have to search hard. You generally have to start at the bottom and work your way up.
What experience have you had in your career life? If you have none why don’t you try organising an event off your own back i.e. someone’s party, christening etc and then get references from people and show examples how you did it.
