I know there are people who are event planners & do big fancy events. How much would one charge?
My wedding planner charged 15% of the total amount spent on the event.
We spent 75,000. So … she made a nice chunk of change.
But it varies. Some charge a flat fee, some charge a %, it all depends on what your contract would state. The contract I signed was for her to help w/ everything. She had options of being there the day of the event only and she charged $2500 or $3000, I can’t remember – she also charged hourly for the couples that just needed help w/ vendors and contracts, etc. She charged $80 or $90 hourly.
But what you can charge is also based upon how good your are, your reputation, etc. She has been featured in magazines, on television – so she was able to charge that much.
Edit – yes my father paid a lot, but it was perfect and nothing went wrong. And if it did – I didn’t know about it, which makes her even better than I thought
