django is a great venue, on 46th n 3rd i believe. their upstairs/downstairs can accommodate your size. for another area more downtown, i think butter can work too in the meatpacking. References :

happy hour at mcormick and shmicks is good and is cheap, there is a good one on the avenue of the americas in manhatten i think

There are no "good deals" in Manhattan. Try the W Hotel on Union Square East at 16th Street Or Budda Bar on west 12th & Gansevoort.
