To what extent does an organisations corporate social responsibility objectives serve as a guide to managers in conference and event planning.
The term "corporate social responsibility" is an invention of the Politically Correctness industry .. (corporations have an absolute responsibility to their owners i.e. their shareholders, not to society at large) …
.. however MOST big companies like to maintain a good ‘image’ (it makes good public relations) so will waste some resources in attempting to meet whatever current ‘flavor of the month’ PC agenda is being pushed …
These days ‘ethnic inclusively’ is out and ‘green credentials’ is in, so I expect most corporations will avoid the usual beano to a sunny Mediterranean sea resort and do something like planting trees in Wales …
So lots of photo’s of executives standing on railway platforms and sitting in trains, followed by a (short) walk to the recently cleared planting ground where they plant a few saplings & make a few speeches about ‘Global Warming’ and ‘carbon offset’ …
