How to get rid of calendar events from Yahoo groups?

Posted by admin on March 20th, 2010 and filed under events calendar | 1 Comment »

I’m trying to use my yahoo calendar but I wanted to get rid of the birthdays listed from my bookcrossings group. I used the erase function and they were still there. I even left the group and still I have all their birthdays listed…it’s so distracting!

You can delete them like you do email.
Click the Calendar tab to open your calendar page.
Click the Event Lists tab to open your entire list of Events.
Check the box next to those you wish to remove.
Go to the top and click the Delete button.
If they are coming from the group, you may have to spam the address of the group to stop the birthday adds.

Is there any way to be a member of a Yahoo group, but not have it automatically add/keep group calendar events?

Posted by admin on March 18th, 2010 and filed under events calendar | 1 Comment »

I’m a member of a Yahoo group with regularly scheduled meetings, but I don’t want the events to show up in my Yahoo calendar. I want to stay subscribed to the group so that I can see the postings if I choose, but don’t want to see the calendar entries.

http://calendar.mail.yahoo.com/ -left top click options- 3rd column under events click Time Guides- under Groups, uncheck any and all- click save bottom left

How do I remove other groups events from my calendar?

Posted by admin on March 16th, 2010 and filed under events calendar | 1 Comment »

I belong to a few groups and their events automatically show up on my calendar. I’m busy enough without info for church bingo showing on a day I already have 10 activites. How do I get rid of some or all of these others group events? Remember these are not events that I added myself.

First you can open your calendar and click on the "Event Lists" tab to open the event lists.
Check the box next to each event you want to remove, go to the top and click the delete button.

Now, while still in Calendar, click on "Options" in the upper right.
    Click on "Time Guides."
    Uncheck the "Groups."
    Save
If you don’t find it there, click on "Sharing."
Click on "My Friends." [Edit List]
    Delete the offender.
    Save

How do I get my Yahoo Mail Calendar events to show up in my Yahoo Instant Messenger Plug-Ins Calendar?

Posted by admin on March 14th, 2010 and filed under events calendar | 1 Comment »

So far, all I can come up with is to duplicate each event entry. Every item I have entered in my mail calendar I’ve been entering a second time into my messenger calendar. Isn’t there an easier way? Merge?

Your best bet would be to go to your yahoo calender, and in the upper right hand corner at the top of your screen there is a link that says sync, download that program, and that may fix your issue

Matt emphasizes that 85% of the content for SES Chicago 2009 was brand new, due in large part to the new leadership of Mike Grehan, VP, global content director, with Incisive Media. Matt also emphasizes the training offered at SES, both pre and post conferences and how the agendas at the SES conferences will begin to feature more presentations over panel discussions.

How do you create a calendar with events in Flash?

Posted by admin on March 12th, 2010 and filed under events calendar | 1 Comment »

I’m kind of new to Macromedia Flash and I saw there was a component called Datechooser in which I could make a calendar for my club website. Is there any way to add events to the calendar so that when someone rolls over a certain day of the month, it would list an event (i.e. meetings, parties, etc.)?

I would recommend that you visit http://www.coffeecup.com and take a look at the one they offer for free trial. Once it is set up, it is yours to keep and use, even if done while trying the product. Hope this helps
