What kind of ID are used by photographers to prove they are photographers?

We are watching a docu on TV, and we see photographers take pictures of an event.
We are wondering, what kind of ID are used by them to prove they are real photographers?
How does it work?
A photo ID?
Can you give me more details? What’s on it, what does it look like. Like a photog official card?

The only recognised ID in the UK is the NUJ press pass.
Photographers at large events (olympics, big concerts etc) will have applied to the organisers for accreditation prior to the event and will be issued with ID by the event itself.
To get that accreditation they will have proved to the event organisers that they are shooting for a specific publication or organisation by providing written proof of that.

In California, after you pay for your ID card do you get a temporary one while waiting?

I need my ID due to an event I have by the end of this month,
If I went to my local DMV and applied for an ID Card,
would I have to wait 60 days until I got my ID?
Or do they give you some type of Temporary ID that you can
use meanwhile?

They give you temporary I.D. papers with no picture.

Can you book tickets via Ticketmster Spain, using an British National Insurance number when it asks for ID?

I’m going to Spain in February, and I want to book tickets to an event, but it requires an ID/Passport number….My passport is currently being renewed and so I won’t get the new one for another 2 weeks, but I want to book the tickets to the event now to avoid disappointment of not getting them. However, it does say you can enter the ‘NIE’ number which I know is the equivalent to the UK National Insurance Number, so can I put that in instead?

- Basically ID should have your Photograph on it. Some Nationalities ( Like the Spanish ) don’t actually have a Password per se, but instead have a DNI I.D. card that doubles up as a password.
– So Ticketmaster caters to all nationalities and their requirements in providing ID, but being British you should provide your passport number.
