  • Is there an International event calendar?

Posted by admin on April 16th, 2010 and filed under event calendar | 1 Comment »

    Hi!

I’ve been wondering if anyone knows where I can find a site that has international events for the summer 2008. I need a list (with dates) of important political, entertainment, sporting, etc. events.

I’ll be very thankful if you could help me ^__^

How can I see on the calendar that I’ve added a note to an event?

Posted by admin on April 15th, 2010 and filed under event calendar | 1 Comment »

Presently, I have no way of knowing that I’ve added a note
to an event I’ve put on the calendar. How can I know I’ve
    added a note?

This is one I have found to be one of the easiest of tasks to do! When you go to your calender then go to options. Under options you may personalize your calender and set up reminders as close or far away from an event you add to your calender. This sends reminders to your email and you don’t have to open up your entire calender. If you want to see the calender as an entire month then click on your calender option and you will see the events you have entered. Hope this helps!

    Event Calendar in Simulating?

Posted by admin on April 12th, 2010 and filed under event calendar | 1 Comment »

I am having trouble with this. The question asks, "What is the max number of events that could be on the event calendar in a discrete event simulation model of an M/M/5 system? What would be the event types?"

I am assuming it will be 5, since there are 5 identical servers in an M/M/5 system. I think the event types would be Start/Arrive, Record, Queue, Service, End/Depart. Is this right?

    The events I see are:
    1) Arrive/enqueue
    2) Leave queue/enter service
    3) Complete service/depart

When you do a discrete event simulation, you compute when the next event is to occur and you jump forward to that time. Thus being in the queue is not an event. Entering and leaving the queue are events. Service is not an event. Beginning service and completing service are events. I don’t know what you mean by record.

The event calendar would have the next queuing event (only one for all five queues since you get the arrival and place it in the appropriate queue) and the 2) and 3) event for each of the servers. By my count this is 6 events since 2) and 3) are really the same event, that is, whenever the queue is not empty, the next item will enter service simultaneous with the departure of the previous.

I really don’t feel like going through and setting it for each individual day.

yes…you enter it once, select repeat daily and then enter the end date.

    P40-E Kittyhawk – Cockpit Camera
    Wings Over Wairarapa Airshow 2009
Hood Aerodrome * Masterton * New Zealand

On Friday the 16th 2009, a P40 Kittyhawk and P51 Mustang took off from Hood aerodrome in Masterton (New Zealand), to fly over Wellington city in order to promote the Wings Over Wairarapa airshow.

This footage is that shot from the cockpit of the Old Stick And Rudder Company’s P40-E (http://www.oldstickandrudder.com), and as flown by Stuart Goldspink on that flight. Not the most exciting of aviation videos, but pretty cool if you’ve always wondered what it’s like to fly a P40.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2009, Wings Over Wairarapa is firmly established as a must see biennial event on the Australasian aviation event calendar. Wings Over Wairarapa shares its home at Hood Aerodrome with some of the finest privately owned collections of First & Second World War aircraft in the world, providing a backdrop for a show that is hard to rival.

How do I remove an event from a Yahoo Group calendar?

Posted by admin on April 7th, 2010 and filed under event calendar | 1 Comment »

I want to remove my birthday reminder from a Yahoo Group I belong to. Someone else in the group added my birthday, and I don’t want it there. That person, and the list owner no longer have a valid email address that I can find. I can’t figure out how to remove my birthday from the calendar reminder.

Contact the group moderator and ask to be removed.
