For each of the events on my calendar I receive several reminders every 2 or 3 minutes! How can I stop this and receive only the reminder that I have asked?
There are generally 2 reminders for a calendar event — unless you ask for no reminder or only one reminder. If you check back and those reminders are requested on different days or hours apart, you should not get them 2 or 3 minutes apart…unless you have the event in the calendar more than once. It could be a Yahoo problem. In that case, you can hope that someone with pull read about it here, or that it resolves itself.

I see tonight what you are talking about! I had 2 reminders earlier about one event, and just now I see that I have 4 more for the same event! They were several minutes apart, as you mentioned. Fortunately, this has not happened with ALL of my reminders!
As I have searched, both of them are good to use. They remind us about our future events by sending us a message to our cellphone and email account.
But I just want to know your opinions and experiences as to which of them is better to use. Please do not use the basis of Yahoo Calendar is better since I am using Yahoo Answers. Let us be fair in answering. I am willing to accept your opinion.
Thank you in advance for your answers!!!
Good question. It depends what email address is your primary. I use gmail.
Evening, I would like to ask where I may be able to find websites that have basic javascript codes on how to add a calendar event? Like adding an event, deleting or editing an existing event? Just those. Thank you in advance!
Oh yes, I’m using a DOJO calendar. If that would help more.
When talking about programs, the word ‘code’ is never used in plural. (Note the second word of Colanth’s answer…)
I used to be able to hover over an event and see all of the notes I had listed in the event. Now, the new calendar just shows me the full name of the event and the time.

It’s been a few years but the last time I used window’s(xp) event alarm feature, it didn’t work. If you don’t know of a good freeware version a rundown of how to use window’s will do.
VueMinder Calendar Lite is freeware and runs under Windows XP, Vista, and 7. I think this might be what you’re looking for.
It also has probably the most complete documentation I’ve ever seen for a freeware product. The documentation describes how to do everything in the program, such as configuring reminders or subscribing to holiday calendars. Take a look here:

Well I am looking for a free software that I can download and put events with their times on them .The one that has cutsomizable noticable alarms daily.
What do you recommend? And can you give a link for downloading it as well?
Thanks.
VueMinder Calendar sounds like exactly what you’re looking for. It has a desktop calendar as well as highly customizable reminders that can contain video, sound, pictures, embedded web pages, etc, etc. The following link shows some example reminders:

I’m a high ranking member of a new guild and neither myself nor the GM seem to have the capability of adding members to our guild calendar events. When we click the Invite button it says "Invites to guild members are not allowed" and the Mass Invite button is blocked out altogether.
Can anyone help?
Try asking your GM to specifically create a Guild Event.
– People must sign up for these within the guild.
Make a different type of event and see if the problem is still there.
If worse comes to worst, contact a GM (Game Master ~.o), and have them look into it.. Might be a glitch, or might be something different all together.
I would like to have Microsoft Outlook pop up a reminder at the same time every day (Fill out time sheet). But I don’t want an associated event to appear on my Calendar. Is there a way to get Outlook to issue daily reminders that are not associated with a Calendar Event?
That’s what Tasks are for. Just create one, make sure to set the reminder up, and you’re good to go.
