This would be a good site for you. They have many great items for big Mardi Gras parties.

This site also has some Mardi Gras items, such as volume packs of beads. When you get there, do a search for Mardi Gras.

to what extent does an organisations corporate social responsibility objectives serve to the event industry?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under corporate event | 1 Comment »

To what extent does an organisations corporate social responsibility objectives serve as a guide to managers in conference and event planning.

The term "corporate social responsibility" is an invention of the Politically Correctness industry .. (corporations have an absolute responsibility to their owners i.e. their shareholders, not to society at large) …

.. however MOST big companies like to maintain a good ‘image’ (it makes good public relations) so will waste some resources in attempting to meet whatever current ‘flavor of the month’ PC agenda is being pushed …

These days ‘ethnic inclusively’ is out and ‘green credentials’ is in, so I expect most corporations will avoid the usual beano to a sunny Mediterranean sea resort and do something like planting trees in Wales …

So lots of photo’s of executives standing on railway platforms and sitting in trains, followed by a (short) walk to the recently cleared planting ground where they plant a few saplings & make a few speeches about ‘Global Warming’ and ‘carbon offset’ …

Help! Do you know of a great venue for an informal daytime corporate team event in Silicon Valley?

Emphasis will be on relaxing, regrouping and team building. We have already done pottery throwing, bocci ball, bowling, Dave and Buster’s.
Nothing overly physical as this would exclude some on the team with limited abilities.

Are you going to celebrate St.Valentines day, or will you refuse to celebrate this ‘corporate event’?

Will you be original and be loving to your precious one every other day apart from this one?

Well being single it’s kind of hard to celebrate Valentines day so I’ll just wait until Palm Sunday.

How does an aging hippy justify singing "Keep on rocking in the free world" at a corporate event like?

Posted by admin on February 23rd, 2010 and filed under corporate event | 1 Comment »

Glastonbury? Come on a great song but what relevance does the word "Free" have to do with the Glastonbury festie? ride in the back of a police van perhaps?

You’re right Bill I’m buggered if I know!

Because he is a performer, his songs mean little now, but at one time they did, and you can’t say that about Lady GaGa…shudder.

I am planning a corporate event for my company’s clients,?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under corporate event | 1 Comment »

It is a mix and mingle and a cooking demonstration. I want to add in other fun, small activities and maybe an ice breaker, but am drawing a blank. I dont have much time to work with, and I know people kinda dread thses things. How can I make the event fun and light, but still promote my company?

Do it yourself food such as barbeque… They might enjoy eating together and chat.

Does anyone know of any companies that have held a corporate event at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Colliseum?

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010 and filed under corporate event | 1 Comment »

    Any help would be great…

Do you mean has a company rented the arena? They don’t do corporate events in the arena but there is an Expo Center that might work.
The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum Expo Center is 60,000 square foot area that is located next to the arena floor. The hall has been utilized for trade and consumer shows, national exams, the Pet Expo, Long Island Boat Show, Home Improvement and Remodeling, Auto Expo, Festival of Trees and numerous other craft fairs and themed events. These events and shows account for approximately 100 event calendar days and attendance is close to 250,000 people a year.

The Expo Center which is located next to the arena floor below ground contains 60,000 square feet of contiguous space and has 20-foot ceilings.

The Exhibition Hall comes equipped with 2,647 electrical outlets and 2,104 lights.

    What to wear-baseball game-corporate event…?

Posted by admin on February 17th, 2010 and filed under corporate event | 2 Comments »

I am going to a "customer appreciation" event to represent the company I work for. It will be held in a suite at a professional baseball game. What should I wear?

First of all, congrats on the event, must be pretty important! I would say, since we are going into the fall season, check out some browns, tans, forest greens, mustard yellows, or salmon pinks. Here are some links.
