They lock or delete any post about this on the official forum for the games, but I know there is a way to do it (obviously, or people wouldn’t keep trying to post about it). It’s something about getting the exact event that you want, instead of having to take whatever you get. Anyone know this?
It helps if you’re in windowed mode when you do this, but if you’re in full-screen mode you can press ALT and TAB together to exit to the desktop.
When you get one of the orange pop-ups, don’t touch it. Right-click on the Taskbar and choose Task Manager. Click the Processes tab and find the one that says virtualvillagers.exe or whatever. Right-click on it and choose End Process. This will terminate the game.
The next time you start the game, you get a pop-up immediately, but it will be a different event. If you don’t like that one either, just terminate again.
It can take a long time to get what you want. Some people use it to avoid inbreeding their villagers, since there are some events that give you new villagers.
Does anyone know the schools in Texas that offer hospitality management or event planning degrees? It’s hard to find a concise list on the internet. I’m planning on becoming a wedding coordinator, and I would like a major that relates to that (instead of a business, or interior design, or something like that)
P.S. Not to be rude, but I don’t care if you think the school’s program is sub-standard. I’m just needing to know ALL of the choices in Texas.
Information is below.
On memorial day 2010, all I know is there will be a running marathon but what else for young adults? Any shopping special or etc?
I’ve only gone there in the summer when they have the art festivals. Maybe you can find something here:

I know the tension had to start somewhere, and I’m trying to determine what event or series of events caused the tension. If the relationship between the two communities was ever a positive one, or at least one that could co-exist peacefully.
I’m attempting to write a paper and plan on using this statement as my thesis.
Prior to the coming of Zionist and Palestinian/Arab nationalism in the 19th century, relations between Jews and Muslims were very good.
answer: You are incorrect. Your statement is in error.
The cause is the fact that Jews would not convert and refused/refuse to accept Mohammad as a prophet since he got too much wrong about Judaism, Torah and G-d.
There were periods of decent relations but there were also numerous years of oppression, forced conversions, massacres and humiliation of Jews by Muslims
more to follow
Pact of Umar, circa 720: Jews and Christians as second class citizens in Muslim countries. Give up a seat to a Muslim, rise when a Muslim enters * conversion to Christianity or Judaism illegal * no raising of voices at funerals * no riding on horses and no saddles
Further restrictions came over time: ridiculous clothing * walking on the left of any Muslim * out of the way synagogues * required to pay a fine to remain Jewish or Christian.
807 – All Jews in the Caliphate of Abbassid to wear a yellow belt, Christians a blue one.
1032 – Morocco – 6,000 Jews killed by a conquering Muslim
1066 – Granada – a Muslim mob storm the palace and crucify the Jewish vizier and massacre most of the Jewish population. 4,000 die.
1090 – Granada – Jews again attacked.
1107 – Moroccan Jews ordered to convert or leave.
1146 – Jews in Morocco again ordered to convert to Islam or die, thousands fled, the majority were executed.
1148 – 1212 – Granada – Jews forced to convert to Christianity or Islam.
1165 – forced conversions in Yemen.
positive note
1190 – Saladdin takes over Jerusalem from Crusades and lifts the ban for Jews to live there.
a period of positive relations
1435 – Massacre and forced conversion of Marjorcan Jews.
1438 – Establishment of mellahs (ghettos) in Morocco.
1619 – Shah Abbasi of the Persian Sufi Dynasty increases persecution against the Jews, forcing many to outwardly practice Islam. Many keep practicing Judaism in secret.
1678 – forced mass conversions in Yemen.
1790-1792 – Destruction of most of the Jewish communities of Morocco.
1805 – Massacre of Jews in Algeria.
1840 – The Damascus affair: false accusations cause arrests and atrocities, culminating in the seizure of sixty-three Jewish children and attacks on Jewish communities throughout the Middle East.
1921 May 1-4 – Jaffa riots
1934 – 2,000 of Afghani Jews expelled from their towns and forced to live in the wilderness.
1941 – The Farhud pogrom in Baghdad results in 200 Jews dead, 2,000 wounded.
1948-2001 – Antisemitism played a major role in the Jewish exodus from Arab lands. The Jewish population in the Arab Middle East and North Africa has decreased from 900,000 in 1948 to less than 8,000 in 2001.

So I am doing a project on Harley Davidson and I need to know what kind of sales promotions they have going. At special events, and or dealerships?
I am not a biker so I am unfarmiliar with this brand, can anyone provide helpful insight?
Depending on the type of event most MC companies have promotional activities. These activities include product displays, test rides and hospitality facilities. The hospitality facilities are typically for current owners and friends. There might even be free food and beverages. They might also have raffles for clothing or accessories, and free posters, stickers, etc…
Once in a great while, but very seldom, there can be sales events with price discounts associated to the larger event. This does not happen often because the dealers are the ones that sell the bikes and the manufacturer would have to discount the price to the dealers as part of the promotion. It gets very messy because if one dealer gets a discount then other dealers want a discount too.
So sales promotions are usually managed on a national basis and not associated with special events.
Im wondering since i want to transfer it to pokemon battle revolution and the have ANTI hack thing But Will the pokemon i got from From the event (Which i got the event item from action replay) Be considered as a hacked pokemon?
The pokemon is considered legit because it was already programed into the game and you didn’t modify it or change anything. all you did was make a way to obtain it because you either couldn’t get to the event or didn’t want to. You still have to go through all that work to track down and catch the pokemon. Some people will frown upon this but just ignore them and ask: DO you have Time Travel mastered….They’ll answer NO….So then tell them to shut up and let you get what you missed out on the first time
I would like to become an event planner. I love the whole idea of planning parties, weddings ect. I love to help make someone else dreams and visions come to life. How can I go about this without having to go to college?
start volunteering and showing offices and place that you can plane and you are very good at it once you start working make sure you put it on your resume
I urgently need to get some experience in event planning and management. I would prefer something on corporate level (seminars, corporate meetings, conventions). I am willing to volunteer or get unpaid internship just to understand more about the industry. I have bachelor degree but do not have much experience. Any advice who to contact, where to start, how to go about it?

I’m currently a certified interior designer but that career has never really excited me. I LOVE planning and organizing events outside of work though – dinner parties, hoiday events, bridal showers, birthday celebrations. I’d really like to work for a corporation or a conference/resort center as a professional event planner but am not sure how to break into the field without any prior formal experience. I also can’t afford to take much down time or start at the very "bottom". What do you recommend? What’s the best way to break into the field? How did YOU do it?
As with any career switch, experience is key. Anything related that you can show on your resume is best. Describe the events you’ve planned before and estimate your time (how long you’ve been planning). This is the time you could use a functional resume rather than a chronological format. Search on-line for event planner positions and see what their requirements are, so you know how to write your resume.
Getting into corporations may be tough if you are not looking for entry level, but still try. Your best bet may be to start with a non-profit organization that way you can quick hands on experience and learn a lot in a short amount of time.
You can also work towards certification, provided that you have enough quantifiable experience. Look at www.mpi-web.org this is the Meeting Professionals Association. The website is full of good information.
Through networking, I was blessed with an opportunity (a start) at a non-profit, and I took advantage of the opportunity to learn as much as I could to build my experience.
At a hotel, you can check with the sales department to find out their needs for event coordinators, or with fine restaurants or private member clubs.
While you are still in your profession, join a club or society and sign up for the events or PR committee so you can document experience in planning/coordinating those events.
Good luck
